The Dogestar (sirius)
The Dogestar (SIRIUS) is a community-run memecoin on Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum Layer 2 network built by Robinhood. The project takes its name from two public posts by Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev. In March 2021 he shared a photo of Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, with the caption "Sirius, the #doge star", and in December 2024 he replied "The @DOGE star" to a post by Elon Musk that joked about the name Sirius. In August 2026 the community registered a real star, UCAC3 85197655 in the constellation Boötes, as The Dogestar in the Staracle International Star Directory, a commemorative star registry. SIRIUS launched on the Pons launchpad on August 30, 2026, has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens and trades against USDG. Since September 2026 the project has been run by its community after a takeover approved through the Pons CTO program. The Dogestar is not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood Markets, Inc. or its executives.
